When I first imported the taxonomies (by making Tab-dellimited text files - see older blog posting) I wondered why the names did not appear as an ITIS Name block on each of the taxon pages. Well, while adding a new name, as part of my task of checking the generic names on the NHM database, I realized the imported taxonomies "content type" is set as "-None-" and not "ITIS Name". To change this, go to the Taxonomy menu (i.e. click on "Taxonomy" in the "Content" menu in the left panel of the scratchpad), then select "settings" for the taxonomy you need to change e.g.
