Notes:
Cowan (1970) stated:-
Moore 2. In dealing with CALYSISME and NISSANGA, Hemming dates Moore's Lep. Ceylon 1 (Rhop.) part (1) as [14 Dec. 1880], while ABARATHA, AMPITTIA and GANGARA in part (4) are made [1882]. Those were the dates of receipt at the British Museum (see Griffin, 1934, Ann. Mag. nat. Hist. (10) 13 : 555). But the actual publication dates have since been ascertained (Griffin, 1939, J. Soc. Biblphy. nat. Hist. 1 (7) : 206).
Part (1) was published in August 1880, the other three parts appearing in January, June and December 1881." [This replaces the publication date of 1882 in Hemming, 1967,p.41].
Cowan (1970) stated:-
To conserve space, many obvious minor errors in punctuation and spelling, and cases where type-species are printed bold when they should not be (e.g. for Achivus, Aecas) or vice versa (Ampittia, Apyrrothrix) have been disregarded.
